More Women on Bikes: Join the Shickluna Women’s Devo Project

Cycling has long been male-dominated, but we’re here to change that. The Shickluna Women’s Devo Project is a cycling group designed for women who want to ride stronger, build confidence on the bike, and develop their skills in a supportive environment. Whether you’re looking to fine-tune your bike handling, increase your speed, or just enjoy an outdoor workout way more fun than the gym, we have a spot for you.

Season two kicks off in April with skill drills and laps at the park—perfect for getting comfortable riding in a group and setting yourself up for a great season ahead.

Training & Social Rides

  • Weekly Training Rides start from Shickluna Bikes and head north, covering 30-50 miles with pace progression throughout the season. Expect an average speed of 17-20 mph. We focus on working together and pacelining to build strength and efficiency. Rides occur on Sundays, with additional opportunities to meet during the week.
  • Monthly Social Rides offer a chance to explore new routes, ride at a relaxed 15-17 mph club pace, and enjoy a café stop. These rides are all about connection—no pressure, just good company and quality miles.

Why We Ride

We ride because we love it—and we want more women to experience the joy of cycling!

More Than Just a Group

The Shickluna Women’s Devo Project is more than a cycling group—it’s a community. Our members come from all backgrounds—runners, triathletes, strength athletes, and cyclists of all levels—united by a shared love for riding. We show up for each other, celebrate progress, and keep things fun along the way.

Meet the Shickluna Women’s Devo Team

Behind every great ride is a team that keeps things rolling smoothly. The Shickluna Women’s Devo Team is made up of dedicated riders who help organize, plan, and support our growing community:

  • Melissa Parrish – Paceline Planner | Mapping out routes, refining group dynamics, and keeping us riding strong.
  • Haller Sauer – Keeper of Cadence | Ensuring smooth, steady efforts and keeping the rhythm dialed in.
  • Stephanie Bucalo – Digital Domestique | Supporting our outdoor rides as a sweeper, organizing Zwift training sessions, and keeping everyone connected online.

Together, we’re committed to making every ride a great experience—whether it’s a structured training session, a social cruise, or a virtual ride.
